At Dedrone we’re building high performance distributed sensor systems for drone detection, identification and mitigation. Our sensors are state-of-the-art computing devices which use signal processing and machine learning to detect and identify drones and communicate with our cloud-based platform for sensor data fusion, alerting, reporting and analytics.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Fusion Engineer (m/f/x) as part of our growing software team to work on sensor firmware development, security architecture and platform deployments.

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of Dedrone's multi-sensor data fusion algorithms
  • Optimization and evaluation of data fusion algorithms and parameters in simulation and real-world tests
  • Ensure and improve code quality regarding stability and maintainability
  • Work closely together with other teams (video, radio, hardware) and external partners to integrate new sensor types and enhance Dedrone's sensor data fusion framework
  • Diploma/master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering (with minimum of two years of experience)
  • Strong theoretical background in one or more of the following fields: digital signal processing, multi-sensor data fusion, stochastics and tracking (Kalman/Particle filters, grid-based fusion algorithms)
  • Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following languages: C++/Java
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Fluent (vocal and written) in English and German
  • Get-it-done attitude and good team player
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming skills in at least one scripting language (preferred Python)
  • Experience with with large software projects (e.g. Open Source projects)
  • Experience with RADAR tracking algorithms
